The setting in the Black Tower mainly takes place in the Hunt house. For all the kids they refer to call Mr.Hunts house the haunt house because it's so scary and spooky. The only reason Herculeah and Meat go to the Hunt House is because Herculeah reads to Mr. Hunt. She reads to Mr. Hunt because he had a stroke and is now paralyzed. The house was built by the Hunt family when Mr. Hunt was just kid. Mr.Hunt was one of the 25 when building it. The house is very old so it is very spooky like a haunted Halloween house. There is a tower on the house, which makes the house even spookier. The tower is where the main problem happens. All kinds of problems happen in the tower. A bony arm through somthing out of the tower, Mr.Hunt is trying to tell Herculeah about sonthing up in the tower and last Herculeah finds an unexpected person up in the tower.

In the end of the book it talks about Herculeah starts to read to Mr. Hunt and then there family starts to get involved by a mystery and murder. If I had to scale the book I would give it a 5+. (As nowed as A+.)
I thought the book "The Black Tower" was a good book. At the end of a chapter the author would always leave you hanging. The author kept you wanting to read more. I could picture what was happing. Those are always my favorite books. You could never predict what was going to happen next. I would always think something good was going to happen but then even something better would happen. On a scale 1-10 10 being the best I would give it a 9 because it was such a good book but I wish the ending would describe more about what happened to the murderer.
I bet I could give you a billion good things why this book is so great. But I will only give you a couple. I think "The Black Tower" was the best book I have read in my life! It is very spooky and scary. Also because every chapter starts a new kind of little mystery that Hercleahs solves. At the end of every chapter it leaves you hanging like what is she going to do next? Like when Hercleahs was up in the tower and the next chapter, which is Meat the best friend calls for help, and it is boring! From a scale 1-5 this book is a 5 it was the best. So I loved it I think you would like it too.

Herculeah- Herculeah is the main character of the Black Tower. She loves mysteries because of her mom. Her mom is a detective! She goes to read to Mr. Hunt every day because he a had a stroke and cannot move. The book that Herculeah is reading to Mr. Hunt is called The Terror in the Tower. This book is suspisious to Herculeah because Mr.Hunt has a tower just like the one in the book attached to his house. Something tells Herculeah that Mr.Hunt is trying to tell her somthing through the book. Everyone who knows Herculeah knows that every time shes in danger that her hair frizzels. In this book her hair frizzeld alot. Herculeah is ready for anything that comes her way!
Meat- Meat is a big scary cat and will faint to anything! His real name is Albert but his nickname is Meat because he is all Meat!! If you don’t know this well then now you do. He is best friends with Herculeah.
Mr.Hunt- Mr. Hunt is just one of 25! He is unique because he had a stroke and cannot talk. All he can do is blink, one for yes two for no. The book that Herculeah is reading to Mr.Hunt ( The Terror in Black Tower ) is a very Mystirious book that Mr.Hunt wanted Herculeah to read to him to tell herculeah that somthing was going on up in the tower.
